About the Role

Join Ekrocx's engineering team as a Node.js Developer and build the APIs, integrations, and services that power enterprise commerce, data, and AI programmes. You'll design reliable backend foundations — from Storefront and Admin APIs to middleware that connects PIM, ERP, and third-party platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Node.js / TypeScript services and APIs for commerce and data integrations.
• Build scalable REST and GraphQL layers connecting storefronts, PIM, ERP, OMS, and CDP systems.
• Own service reliability — error handling, logging, retries, and observability for production workloads.
• Collaborate with frontend, data, and solution architects on technical scoping and delivery.
• Write testable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews and mentoring.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments, and environment configuration.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across APIs and integration flows.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience with Node.js.
• Strong TypeScript skills and experience building production APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and Redis or equivalent caching.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and webhook-driven workflows.
• Understanding of authentication, authorisation, and secure API design.
• Comfortable working in agile, client-facing delivery environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Shopify, commercetools, or other commerce platforms.
• Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure).
• Exposure to message queues (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ) or event-driven architectures.
• Published open-source projects or community contributions.
