Solution Architect — Commerce

About the Role

As a Commerce Solution Architect at Ekrocx, you'll sit at the intersection of business strategy and technical delivery. You'll lead presales architecture, respond to enterprise RFPs, and own the solution design for complex commerce transformation programmes — shaping how global brands evolve their digital commerce capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own solution design for enterprise commerce transformation engagements from presales through to implementation.
• Respond to RFPs and tenders — producing detailed solution architectures, effort estimates, and technical proposals.
• Lead discovery workshops with enterprise clients to understand business requirements and technical constraints.
• Design end-to-end commerce architectures spanning storefront, platform, integration, data, and operations layers.
• Define integration patterns between commerce platforms and ERP, OMS, WMS, CRM, and CDP systems.
• Work closely with delivery leads and engineering teams to ensure solutions are feasible and well-scoped.
• Support business development by representing Ekrocx's technical capabilities at client meetings and events.

Requirements

• 7+ years in enterprise commerce, with at least 3 years in a solution architecture or technical lead role.
• Deep knowledge of at least two major commerce platforms: Shopify Plus, SAP Commerce, commercetools, or SFCC.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns: API gateways, event-driven architectures, middleware.
• Experience responding to large-scale RFPs and leading technical presales conversations.
• Exceptional written communication — able to produce clear, compelling architecture documents and proposals.
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate (client-facing role with occasional regional travel).

Nice to Have

• TOGAF, AWS, or Azure Solutions Architect certifications.
• Experience with GCC enterprise clients in retail, CPG, or B2B commerce.
• Familiarity with MACH architecture principles and vendor ecosystems.
• Track record of winning large (>$1M) commerce transformation deals.
